Note the official at right wearing a white shirt and whistle, carefully watching the center line. I'm almost certain that's Mr. George Pleasance who was then retired, but taught at Simcoe High School from the 40's to the 60's. He may well have taught your parents! And I do believe his photo confirms this on the web site: www.nornet.on.ca (Norfolk Genealogy) Do a search for this website if it doesn't come up for you.
Click on group photos. See the high school photo of Simcoe High 1945-46 and click on "students names." His name comes up. Click on that, see his pic and bio.
BUT... if you want a REAL trip my fellow boomers, go thru these photos and names of students from the 40's and you will see the mothers and fathers of so many of the people you grew up with. See the family resemblance. WOW!!! Let them know.

1971. Valley Heights won that year. All those big farm kids,I think it was their first year as a newly-formed high school. Good on you!
