See between the two dark posts at right the old "Melody" restaurant sign. Melody, at the top, is darker and reads horizontal. It sits on the north-east corner of Kent and Robinson.

It's funny how I, not necessarily a car guy, can look at this photo after 40 years and immediately identify 3 Fords pointing south, 1 Chevy parked at left against the wall, and 1 Oldsmobile or Buick partially obscured, parked just in front of the moving car. Now, why IS that? Other guys have said the same thing about such matters concerning "old" cars. Is this a "guy thing" or just a part of boomer culture? At "Drummer's" Gas, up the hill a short way east on Hwy.3 up from Norfolk St., gas, in 1971, was 42 cents per gallon. Loosely translated, that's 11 cents per liter. Minimum wage was $1.25 per hour. Today we can multiply these by about 10 and there we are.
