Panoramic photo taken at the Grey Goose Lodge, facing the lake, at roughly 3 pm.
Photos were taken as part of a fish collection study in the community of Deline on Great Bear Lake, Northwest Territories in December 2010. Baited hooks were set on December 3/4 and a gill net set on Tuesday, Dec 7 (first set of photos). The net was checked on Wed and Thursday and the fish (lake trout and lake whitefish) removed. The fishers were Chris Yukon and George Baptiste of Deline.
The air temperature on the first day was about -20 C with snow, but dropped to <-30 C, with a light wind on Wed and Thursday. Most of the photos were taken at about noon on the respective days.
Photos were taken with a D300 with a 17-55mm zoom.
