Last month we left Oakland from a gate we'd never been to before. One section of windows 30 or 40 feet long is an art piece by a local artist, Hung Liu. Not just a painting, it is 3-dimensional. The outside glass has a grid and a reproduction of portions of pictures taken from space (mostly clouds), along with white "shadows" of the cranes and circles which are painted on the inside glass. It would have been interesting to see how things changed as the sun moved through and disappeared from the sky, but we had a plane to catch. BTW, the drips/runs are intentional. They appear in others of her work.
