| We enjoyed a long weekend at our cabin in Strawberry, AZ, July 20-23, 2013. The summer monsoon weather had descended upon southern and central Arizona and we were treated to much-needed rain and spectacular cloudscapes. We of course enjoyed walks with our two Afghan Hounds, Mateo and Muchacha. We generally eat well while in Strawberry. Belgian waffles with fresh fruit and whipped cream were on the breakfast menu. But the most special treat was an after-rainstorm visit by two beautiful elk who were grazing at the tall grass in our neighbors' yard across the street from our cabin. |
