| This gallery is dedicated to the memory of Precious, tiny of stature but mighty of spirit. One advantage of semi-retirement is the flexibility to take off for a motorcycle ride in the middle of the week. Traffic is lighter, at least on the back roads where the riding is at its best. And the pace on a weekday often seems more relaxed, or maybe that's just me! On this Tuesday ride we traveled from Tempe to Strawberry via I-17, stopping for breakfast at the Rock Springs Cafe. On the way home we stopped in Jake's Corner for a cold drink and conversation. A great ride isn't just about the riding. It's also about the joys you encounter at stops along the way, like good food, charming people and the occasional special critter. This ride had all of the above. |
