| On October 30, Victory BMW in Chandler, Arizona held its 8th annual Oktoberfest celebration. Included were the BMW demo truck with its demonstrator motorcycle fleet; vintage BMWs and at least one very cool vintage scooter, a fully-restored 1957 Lambretta; burgers, wieners and brats; a live electric fiddle and guitar two-man band; a Tom Mueller lookalike contest (!), prize drawings and more. Unsurprisingly, BMW's new S1000RR sport bike was a big hit. I finally got a chance to take a BMW K1300S for a demo ride and, while it's a very impressive bike, I think I'll hang onto my K12RS and K12R for a while longer. Thanks to Victory BMW for hosting this most enjoyable event! |
