Four Peaks panorama

We began or journey on AZ 87, the "Beeline Highway," which connects the Phoenix metropolitan area to Payson, a mile-high town of 12,000 residents, and destinations further north. The end of our day's ride is Strawberry, a small community nestled just below the Mogollon Rim (pronounced "muggy-on"), which stretches from just southwest of Flagstaff to the White Mountains of eastern Arizona marking the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau. In the distance on the right is the 7657 foot Four Peaks mountain (you may need to scroll the image to the right to see this).
