Library? Restaurant? I was in Tempe in Nov. 1969 for 2 weeks, staying at my Grandmother Inez (Mrs. Hugh) Larson's home, next to my Aunt Lillian (Mrs. Craig Sr., aka Bud) Walling's home, right across a road of hippie shops from the campus. There was a light rain and people ran for shelter. A nice neighbor, whose name I never knew, loaned me a 2 wheel bike to explore the campus. Those relatives are all deceased for a long time now. A cousin and his wife live in Mesa. Prior to all this, we lived in Globe, Az. Dad (Richard Walling) worked in the copper mines in about the the late 1940's to early 1950's). There was a fire. Dad climbed a tower & put the fire out, but he fell. Had some fractures, but survived. Once there was a flood rushing down through Globe, A hen in a crate and many other things floated by. Dad freelanced an article about that flood & it was published in the newspaper. We eventually moved back to Minneapolis, Mn., where I had been born in 1944. My sign said "Maternity Ward". More variety of work for Dad in Mn. I am enjoying many of your photos in many categories. Thank you. Karen Walling mypassport@webtv.net
