| During September 27-30, 2012 we traveled to Detroit, Michigan and vicinity to join in the celebration of our great grand niece Hannah's bat mitzvah and spend some time with family. It was a beautiful time of year to be there with many trees beginning to show their fall colors. While we were there we indulged in a local Fall tradition and visited the historic Franklin Cider Mill, where we enjoyed their delcious fresh chilled apple cider and irresistable little greasy cinnamon spice donuts as well as a walk in charming Franklin Village. Hannah did a fantastic job during her confirmation and it was great fun for us to be there. The bat mitzvah party was held at the Lazy J Ranch in Milford, MI, "an old time gathering place for special events." The event included a pop DJ, square dancing and, for the kids, a hayride. We couldn't imagine a more fun venue! |
