| Judy, Ed and friends celebrated her birthday in the third base dugout suite at Chase Field in Phoenix, watching the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Chicago Cubs, 5-4. The game was followed by a spectacular fireworks display. A great time was had by all!Click HERE for a video of the fireworks show. A special shout-out for Diamondbacks second baseman Aaron Hill: Before the start of the game, I asked him that if he found himself in possession of an extra baseball, we'd appreciate it if he could sign it for Judy, who was celebrating her birthday on that day. We thought he'd probably forgotten my rather presumptuous request. But, after the end of game, he stopped at the partition separating the team dugout from our suite and asked, "Where is the birthday lady?" I quickly fetched Judy while Hill autographed a ball for her and included the inscription, "Judy, Happy Birthday!" The whole experience of being there was fabulous, but Aaron Hill's thoughtful gesture and the joy it brought to Judy was priceless and will never be forgotten. |
