I created this shadow box today. In it are the state flag of Texas
(it flew over the state capitol building), my service medals that were
awarded to me during my Coast Guard term. The National Defense Service
Medal was because I served my country (enlisted) during time of war - 'Nam.
The one below it is the Pistol Expert Medal that I earned in basic. The
picture was taken in early 1977, towards the end of my enlistment.
