M16, the Eagle Nebula

This image was made on the night of June 13, 2019, from my backyard. It is composed from 52 light frames, calibrated with a master bias frame. No dark or flat frames were used. The camera used was a ZWO ASI071MC Pro, cooled to zero degrees Centigrade.

The red color in M16 and other emission nebulae comes from hydrogen ionized by the radiation from nearby stars.
