I went into holiday routine today after shutting down the work efforts and pushing everything off my table until Monday. Back in my Navy days, holiday routine was much appreciated and enjoyed to it's fullest extent. The plan of the day was just to relax while everything and everyone just chilled. I am trying to achieve that state of mind right now. I took my wife to dinner and went out alone to do some needed Christmas shopping before coming home to wrap gift after gift with my wife. The entire time, reminding myself with every package I put too much tape on, just how fortunate we are.

I am now sitting in my garage watching it softly rain outside while sipping on Woodford and puffing on a Cohiba on December 23rd in a t-shirt while listending to the occasional rumble of thunder in the distance as Christmas Carols play on my radio... Seriously, it's perfect!
