My neighbors baby is turning one. Ever since I have moved in we have had this running dialog of me eventually taking photos of Charlotte. I have been here in my new home for 11 months, she is going on a year. Someday was going to turn into her sweet sixteen and it weighed on me to do this as I just wanted to get some camera time with a baby. I shoot a lot of different things and lean towards an editorial style of photography due to the nature of being in a Photo a Day now for 4 years. I give huge props to anyone doing family/kid photography. (slow clap inserted here)...

Seriously, I have a newfound respect and understanding of how difficult it is. Add in wanting to over deliver and wow the parents with a tired or freaked out baby. Yeah- I had fun doing this and love the other pictures I am giving to the parents but man, my nerves are shot. Charlotte was pretty laid back but a few of the shots we had wanted/hoped for were just not going to happen; period.
