As the weather turned bad this evening I headed out in search of my PaD. Going west this time, driving into the weather I kept getting closer and closer to the old farmstead. Pulling into an unplowed drive and seeing the homeowner outside stoking the wood burner choked me up a bit. This care and feeding of the stove was Tim's gig, not his brides. Stepping inside to get out of the weather and to catch up on life, Mary and I both came to the realization that even though he's gone some weird shit has happened to make you think that they are still among us. We both agree he's watching over us daily. Carrying on as only he can do!
Tonight I found safe harbor from a snow storm in the same place I have gone for years. After taking my leave, I grabbed my camera, a tripod and tried to venture out into the big field to get a few shots of the most photographed tree in Erie County. Between knee deep snow, my old tired ass, cold and howling winds turning me around in my tracks (literally) , I saw this shot materialize. The snow stopped blowing and the winds died down and life stood still as I set up the shot. Thanks Tim- I know you gave this one to me buddy- Thanks...
