Family and friends came out this afternoon for my friends wake. A gathering of sad folks comforting each other as only those with loss fresh in their hearts can. Before going there, I happened to pass thru the cemetery where my friend will ultimately find his final rest.
His wife had told me in a general sort of way where his marker would be, near a tree in the back, far quiet corner of the Berlin Heights cemetery. I had to laugh a little as the single tree, yet to give up leaves as in defiance of winter/death was standing tall blowing gently in todays cool november sky. Burning red and vibrant just like Tim lived his life in that full speed ahead way-. Yeah, I am glad to see this on such a sad day!
Your showing off Senior Chief. The sunset on the eve of your passing and now this? Come on. Give me break man. In all seriousness we miss you but I'll take these little finds as a sign of your easing over as a good one. Doing as you always said- "carrying on"
