DON'T get me started. I knew exactly when the total eclipse was due to begin (around 20:30 our time). I knew when it ended. I knew when moonrise was. I therefore calculated the angle from the horizon at the time of the eclipse and decided where I'd shoot it from, right over the ocean as the blood red colour seeped in from the Earth's reflected light. It would have been a PAD Extraordinaire. THEN A SODDING GREAT BAND OF THICK, GREY CLOUD SWEPT IN FROM SAID OCEAN, AND THE NAFFING OLYMPUS WOULD HAVE NEEDED AN X-RAY PRIORITY MODE TO PENETRATE IT! This evening, though? As dusk draws close, as I look out my window? NOT A BLANKING CLOUD IN THE SKY, not ONE! Probably for the best as I have yet to get my 40-150 (80-300 effective), though. Sigh and sod it. Nice shot from your part of the world though.
