IN the final closing act of summer we pull the boat out of the water and into storage it goes for the upcoming harsh winter months. On the lake today there were no screams of kids wanting to go faster, no tube being dragged behind the boat at a breakneck speed. Not a rattling of Bud Light cans in the onboard cooler waiting to be cracked open under the warm summer sun. No music blaring or splashing or laughing... Just the drone of the twin engines motoring to the boat launch to be pulled out for the soon to come winter.
I'll say it now and 8,571 more times before the boat goes back in the water. I hate winter. I am already bummed out as the leaves are changing and soon it'll be bare trees and cold. Cold and nothing else... Blaaaaaaaa
