5150

Put the bike into the wind today and had some Van Halen ("5150" circa 1986) playing to guide me along. While DLR and Sammy both have their merits and may cause life long friendships to erode into schoolyard name calling of one another, I lean towards Sammy Hagar. David Lee Roth is kind of like the Phil Collins of Rock N Roll. He has his greatness but then there is a deep lame side to him as well. Let us not forget California Girls? WTF… Yankee Rose and Tobacco Road were great. Sammy Hagar's passion and vocals keep it real for me. It's good time music and today was some great riding…

The Philster loves his lame side, and indeed thrives on it. Look up the official video for "I Wish It Would Rain Down On Me" where he simultaneously extracts the Michael from both himself and the whole music industry.
I like the way you've used the curve of the seat of the bike to echo the curve of the covered bridge.

I agree both have their merits, and I did rock out to Sammy's VH in the mid-80s, but VH 1 and VH 2 were the best for me.

I'm a huge Haggar fan! Nice work on the presentation today, great framing. V

I put some time on the bike today myself! Tracey and I rode in a poker run. http://www.oldetownecycle.com/flyer.html

Oh, I like some of the early VH stuff, but it was all a huge mess in the 80's…

There were definitely two VH eras, of course one with DLR the other with SH. I'm a fan of the "pre-SH" DLR though... not so much post-SH! Great shot!
