Reading instruction manuals is never something I have wanted, or desired to do. Owning a dSLR of any flavor/brand and wanting to really understand what it can do makes these books required reading.
I remember my very first digital camera years ago. A Sony something or another I bought 12 hours before going to Disney. I remember thinking as I was boarding the flight from Cleveland to Orlando with the manual in my hand that 2 hours of reviewing this manual and I'd unleash the inner Ansel Adams upon stepping off the plane. Yeah, that was a disaster with a capital D.
I have been pretty comfortable with both of my cameras and the basics of what they are capable of. I know there's more, capabilities and functions. Skills and technique that I am missing out on. In the pages of these 2 manuals, they have created more questions than answers that I have spent days and hours researching and learning about. Seriously, I may have read each of these 4 times in the past week cover to cover. I do believe, I think I actually understand this thing I carry around daily now and how it works.
I am looking forward squeezing everything I can out of these cameras in Hawaii.
