An Amazon Kingfish was found in Laredo around the time we first got to Texas. Given our schedule we didn't have a chance to even think about going for it earlier and I had pretty much forgotten about it till the tram driver at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park mentioned it when we were there Sunday afternoon. We decided to make the drive over Monday morning but didn't find the Kingfisher. It had been seen before we got there and has been seen almost daily since but didn't show up for us.
