One-armed ringed barred spiral Galaxy NGC 4725

NGC 4725 is over 100 thousand light-years across and lies 41 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.

NGC4712 is at the lower right. It is a distant spiral galaxy 200 million light-years away.

NGC4747 is at the upper left. Tidal interaction with the massive spiral NGC 4725, is the generally accepted cause for the severe distortion of the smaller NGC 4747 galaxy.
