Imaging in heavily light polluted skies, white on the Bortle scale (SQM 17.8 mag/arcsec2), it requires a lot of improvising and some creativity in order to produce acceptable images. Narrowband and light pollution filters help some, but careful session planning, light shields of all shapes and sizes, and cooperative neighbors are indispensible components as well. Multiple gradient removal techniques in processing may be most important.
