These are two of the many volunteer pilots that offer their
planes and their time each year to the Iditarod,
flying supplies, dogs and people from checkpoint to checkpoint.

A group of visitors/volunteers were actually stranded at one of
the more beautiful checkpoints this year due to bad weather and
the pilots' call to not fly. They were "stuck" on Rainy Pass
(at the lodge) for 4 days! Lucky them!!!
