What a blessing and a hoot to be on Laura's tag sled
at the Ceremonial Start of Iditarod 2009!
I worked hard at holding on, taking it all in, and
getting some photos and video for her along the 11 mile run.
I didn't crash the sled, but I did drop to my knees going down
the hill at 4th and Cordova...right in front of a video camera of course!
I hope I didn't embarass Laura too much!!!
At least I popped back up pretty quick!
It was a beautiful day and a perfect trail lined with people cheering
Laura on to victory... which she's already accomplished by just being here!
She is a loving, responsible dog musher who always does right by her team,
no matter what the personal cost to her... and she has earned their trust by doing so.
