This little guy was on a branch across the path we walk every weekend morning. I told my wife to hold up and edged up as close as I dared, E-1 with the 50-200+1.4 tc maxed out, cam on C-af. I got 3 shots before my grandaughter thought she could help me and the magic was over. That's the thing about nature photography...Preparation meeting opportunity. Like what happened with your image you call "in passing". Magic !
