Lake Eyasi (home of the Bushland and the Hadzabe Tribes

We stayed at Tindiga Tented Camp (previously known as Tindiga Tented Lodge), which is a beautiful and small traditional camp close to Lake Eyasi, the lake of east African bushman. Overlooking the shrubland of the Eyasi Ecosystem, one can see the distant hills of Ngorongoro and it gives views of the ultimate “African experience”. To the north there is the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with it’s surrounding volcanic hills. To the west, just behind Lake Eyasi, you can find the big plains of the Serengeti. It is here that we met the Hadzabe tribe and had the most sweetest tasting honey ever known, provided straight from the tree. I’m forever torn that the honey out of the supermarket just wont do anymore.
