Mama Shans Oil Painting Technique

Was going through some of my emails and came across Mama Shan's latest E-zine technique
http://www.photoshopmama.net/chores/acrylic_oil_l32/acrylic_oil_l32.html
Decided to apply it to a photo taken early this year of my sister.
Original looks alot better at 100% and not sure about this web version.

What an interesting photo. The technique really made me study the pic for some time and I really do like it.
