This hawk buried itself in the snow under my feeder. I can only assume that it was hiding in ambush. However, no prey birds came to the feeder and it left in a few minutes. This photo was taken in late March and I saw this hawk, or other Sharp-shins, several times within a two-week period. I assume that they were migrating since I never saw them again. The photo was taken from inside my house.
