Boise, ID, at the Expo Idaho fairgrounds, July 6-9, 2006. Rendezvoused with my college roommate, Charlie Martof from Bainbridge Island, WA for a brief mini-reunion. I flew to Jackson, WY, and borrowed my nephew's R1150GS for the ride to Boise. Riding out west was awesome (especially without the long ride/drive to get there)! Boise has to be one of the hottest places on earth at this elevation (3000 ft)--it was in the upper 90's by late morning, but with the zero humidity, it was tolerable anywhere in the shade or moving on the bike.
My nephew Justin's GS. Awesome cargo capacity with those aluminum cases!

Charlie & I, chilling in the shade in our Walmart chairs. It's about 20 degrees cooler in the shade.
9 p.m., and that blazing hot thing in the sky is still up.
Assorted campers and vendors at the rally. People put their tents anywhere they could find shade.
PA Airheads at the RA Rally: John, Dave Moss, & yours truly. John & Dave did it the hard way: rode all the way from PA & NJ!
