John thanks for the comment. Yes, the depth of field on this was in between. It was not pronounced enough to capture the head in the background nor shallow enough to render it part of the background, so I went back into the field today with my trusty 200mm f/4 and will post another tonight. I enjoy the understated colors, but I understand they may not pass muster for the current challenge. Tom

Tom, good tones and interesting bokeh, but the subject is a bit too understated for my tastes against the theme. I also find the OOF 'head' behind to be a bit distracting, neither in focus enough to contribute usefully to the subject, nor OOF enough to be part of the background; it would have ben ok if it was off to teh side where it didn't interfere with the more interesting foreground 'heads', which I quite like.
