Great texture and detail. I can see why some might want more of the insect in the frame, but I kinda like the heavy left emphasis, with the light antenna to the right. What would have made this a perfect shot is if the end of the antenna had also been in focus. Astounding shot nevertheless.

The image was taken in natural light, it is not a crop.
I shot it also verticaly , i could manage to have the butterfly completely in frame, but it worked better in a landscape oriented shot even if the wings where cropped.

Tchou, good textures and colours that complement each other well. Maybe a bit dark in places. Did you try any other composition/cropping? While I appreciate you may have been trying to avoid putting anything slap bang in the middle, this one feels like it's artifically crammed into the left part of the frame. Pleasing image nonetheless. John

Nice title, even if it's not obvious that it is the subject…
Also, it's better a subject (or even a character) than a texture.
