Here's an example to show how textures can be a key feature of an image even if it's a bug macro. I only got one shot at this, so I'm glad I got the focus right. It didn't really hurt and I didn't retaliate. ;^)

Good shot of the ant, but what's that huge beast to the left? LOL I like the contrast in textures here - the smoothness of the ant's abdomen versus the lined channels of the beast on the left. The background colours were well chosen to complement the foreground subjects. That umbrella seems to get more use indoors than out. Thanks for setting up this challenge, JDU, and for all the comments. I find that the comments of others helps me to appreciate these entries even more.
