Most people are not fortunate enough to be able to go out to "see" - let alone photograph - the animals of the World in their natural, wild habitat.

Nevertheless, the general public is fortunate to have an opportunity to still be able to see many of these animals in a man created, controlled situation called a "zoo". According to oxforddictionaries.com, a Zoo is "an establishment that maintains a collection of wild animals, typically in a park or gardens, for study, conservation, or display to the public." This gallery is for images from any Zoo or Zoological Garden or Animal Theme Park (like Disney's Wild Kingdom) or drive through Animal Safari Park or Petting Zoo in the world.

This gallery does not include images of wild animals from Wildlife Refuges. Photographs in this gallery should only include habitats designed for captive animals. However, photos in the gallery may cover other aspects of a "Zoo"; in addition to the captive animals. That can include "wild animals" (such as geese and other birds)and humans that might temporarily "visit" a zoo. Plus images can also included the "zoo" habitat itself.
