The chopped end of a fallen tree - I took this specifically for the "mundane" challenge.

I like the differences in texture you got and the way the lines of the tree lead you off the edge of the picture.

This was clean-up from storm damage along open space fireroad. The tree (or trees) had gone down across the path, so they cut it to clear the path. I think they cut from two sides that didn't match and then a chunk fell out.
