Star
by Breezanemom

Dallas, Texas

I work with a lady who's first name is Starr, and when I saw this picture on the wall in the hotel in Texas, I thought it fit.
Sorry about the lamp - I didn't think it would be a good idea to move it, and I actually like the way it looks.

Another possibility would be to ignore the star and take a photo of the Shade which according to one baby name web site is a baby girl's name meaning "sweetly singing". It seems like I've seen the name pronounced Shad-a (long A at the end).

Nice idea, Lisa. However, I personally find the lamp very distracting. It takes away from your main subject: the Star.

A very easy solution to this might have been for you to move closer to the photo (past the lamp) and "crop" the frame & mat out of your image; leaving just the print of the star. That is IF this camera can get such close focus. I'm not familiar with the abilities of the Oly TG-3. Perhaps that wasn't physically possible.

Good job of hand holding this shot @ a very high ISO.

Fun shot, Lisa - and definitely a good fit for the theme too. :)
