Once a year in April there is a bird photography event. This was my first time attending along with over 100 other photographers. The local wildlife refuge brought this beautiful bald eagle named Sonora. She has a broken wing so will forever be with the wildlife refuge folks...and the reason why I chose to do portrait shots of her. I had also never seen a Bald eagle in my life. So this is what the bird folks would refer to as a "lifer" for me.
