Santa Con in San Francisco is a holiday "pub crawl" throughout the City.
We happened to be in SF the day it was going on - and caught this "display of character and costume"
near Union Square.

This definitely looks like the San Francisco I remember as being a "people photographer's" delight. What a neat time to be visiting the city. Did you join in with the Pub Crawl? I wish we could have seen a bit more of the Chestnut cart. Roasted chestnuts shout "Christmastime".
