Don't you mean "Yield?"
by Peggy in NJ

One of the Caribbean Islands in 1987

Came across this sign while in the Caribbean back in 1987 while on a Windjammer Barefoot Cruise while island hopping aboard the tall ship, the Fantome. In the USA we have similar shaped signs in yellow with black printing on them that says "Yield," which I think means the same thing for motorists. I cropped the sign out of an 8 X 10 scenic photo from 1987 that my traveling companion was also in that I have in one of my photo albums.

Canon MP560 series
Used a Ricoh 35mm SLR manual operating camera body with either an 80-200 lens or a 35-70 lens. Used Kodak film, ISO 400 for picture taking. Ran off 22 rolls of film while on the cruise. Scanned an old 8 X 10 print from 1987 from same into my Cannon Pixma MP560 printer. On 5/22/13: Cropped the sign out of the photo in Adobe Photoshop. Saved to my hard-drive to bring it up here. full exif

Yep. English (as opposedto American) for "yield".
