This is an example of OOB, Out Of Bounds, an edit in which the main subject appears to be coming out of the picture. This giraff was originally taken with a real ugly background. In Photoshop, I erased the original background, and layered another background underneath him. I then placed a frame on top in another layer, and distorted it to make it look like it was at an angle. I lowered the opacity on the frame and erased that part covering his face, then increased opacity back.
All of this was on top of a plain white background. I made the water hole with a flood filter, erasing that part that I did not want. I then made the shadow , which I placed on top. This edit did not take hours....it took me days...lol
