That's a bison rolling in the dirt (they tend to do that in the summer -- especially the bulls). When I took this picture, I couldn't have gotten out of the truck if I'd wanted to (better said, I couldn't get out of the truck if I wanted my body to remain safe). That reddish blur in the lower right corner -- that's our truck's inspection sticker and the line is the edge of the windshield. At this point, we were surrounded by a large herd of bison. It wasn't a problem -- at least not while we stayed in the vehicle.
