Anna packed the car carrier in her suitcase in hopes that there
would be a roof rack on the rental car. No such luck.
Our rental agent said, "none of our rentals have roof racks" which
wasn't true based on the Suburban sitting next to our minivan.

She was a bit snooty too... so much for Avis in the future.

As we walked to the car we discussed holding the luggage on our laps
until we could check in at the hotel, or possibly making two trips.
Everything fit just fine.
