We decided to turn back because of a traffic jam as
we neared the top. Anna had to return to Louisville later that
evening for classes the next day so we couldn't risk getting
stuck on the other side of the pass if they closed the road.

Although our trip was cut short, the scenic drive made up for the time
we lost trying to get to Cherokee. We didn't have time to stop for pics
of this waterfall on the way up, but that changed on the way down.
