The last shot before leaving the park. An egret cautiously shares the pond
with the alligators. I thought I'd have a National Geographic moment
between prey and predator, but it never happened.
The trip back to Jekyll left a lot to be desired. For starters, I took a wrong turn
leaving the park and didn't realize it until we were 30 miles south of where
we wanted to go. This brought good and bad news:
Good News: The town we ended up in had a DQ. Yay!
Bad News: It served me undercooked chicken tenders. Booooo!
Good News: They offered to give me more.
Bad News: They offered to give me more.
Good News: Sydney finally got her cotton candy Blizzard! Yay!
Bad News: They really cheesed out on the crunchies and flavoring. Boooo!
Good News: It's a DQ, I could get a hamburger instead! Yay!
Bad News: It's a DQ owned by people from India... no beef. Booo!
We were batting zero in this town... getting back on the road was a pleasure.
