Builder: Bluegrass Garage Builders
Location: Louisville, Ky.
Dimensions: 24'x 30' concrete block.
Single vehicle door: 16' wide, 8' tall; set left of center.
Windows: Two 3'x 4' Andersen. Two Andersen venting 22" x 46.5" skylights in rear.
Pedestrian door: One door with windows.
Driveway: 18'x 30' concrete.
Update: Sept 2004. Less than a year after the driveway was poured, it started to crumble. Not real bad, but the garden hose would blow apart the top layer of concrete. We called the contractor, and he said it was from road salt and refused to do anything about it. So we called the place who mixed the concrete (Ohio Valley Concrete) and they said it was from improper finishing (the people who the contractor hired), and they also refused to fix it. Long story short, we filed a complaint against the contractor with the Better Business Bureau since he was the one we had a contract with. The contractor contacted Ohio Valley, and they agreed to replace the driveway rather than lose the contractors business. Neither party would admit fault, but the end result was satisfactory.
We went from a garage barely able to fit two cars to this,
and now I wish we had gone just a bit larger... and added
an upstairs. Good luck with your project.
