Some shots from Day One before overwhelmed by the heat.

Why animals, when they'd been given a break from performing, had free water yet elderly humans paid £2.50 a bottle to traders who were too hot to even be embarrassed ... remains beyond me. Red hot prices yet not a water bowser in sight and nary a shaded place despite temps at 32C+.

Still, a jolly time had.
