Now, I don't know about the Canon 5DI or II, but the AIServo on the 1DsMkII is very nice. These represent the first time I've used this function.
They are all handheld single-shot grabs with the 70-200 f4L(IS), set at 200mm throughout.
Of course, I didn't so much crop as use a butcher's block afterwards.
