The Fujifilm XT-1 IS noisy past 1600.
Now, I LIKE noise every bit as much as I liked increased grain on pushed 35mm film stock back when photographers were expected to know about small matters like How Light Behaves.
The potential problem with XT-1 raws though is that some converters have difficulties in retaining some acuity without rendering the noise "wormy" ...looks somewhat like film negs that have become "reticulated", in old money.
I'm not a Mcflurry user, so have no idea about Iridient's handling of Fuji raws: the best I've found are actually free: Raw Therapee does even better than Silkypix if you can understand it, but Silkypix DC Raw v2 does an excellent job and is free also.
I wouldn't trust this image if it were printed at 250 dpi past 20" or so on the long side .....BUT come one: how many YouTube and DPR kitboys EVER do actual photography and develop above what they need for Flicker?
