...yup....

Complete with what I take to be a worshipful bow as it is enthroned.

Now, I am not for one minute saying or suggesting that these intents are consciously designed and implemented with this in mind: quite the reverse: there are many caring, passionate and compassionate people about responding to the world at a time of great change.

However, what I do observe both in the Bible and throughout history, is that God honours man's free will enough to allow him to be under the control of the Holy Spirit or of the world.
Knowing the complete impossibility of man to self-rescue from his spiritual condition, we do have the Bible as at least a collection of exemplars of what God wants, how it'll be better, of God removing His Spirit in response to man's desire to have it removed. We also have history as means of seeing the same.

You would expect then, if a new, global man-centred morality based on man fixing himself was pushed forward, it would be both devoid of the Bible and include a history re-write as "proof" of its own antiquity and time-honouredness. It's what the new-kid Flavian emperors (Vespasian, Titus and Domitian) did after pulling off the humdinger with obliterating Jerusalem in AD 70, and what all new victors do when they take over another nation.

Thus, if you see history being rewritten and odd interest by the BBC in retelling WW2 themes about "Hitler and the Jews", you can guess that the same process, that of re-writing history, is currently under way and being written by a different set of victors. Correctamondo.
